ww2.jpgMy girls have enjoyed Ms. Judy's classes and are now in the middle of their second series. At first, I was skeptical that my 5-year-old could effectively use a sharp saw, but Ms. Judy is not only sweet and patient, she's thorough in teaching safety and proper tool use. My kids love the feeling of creating something they can really use, and they get valuable skills in the process. Ms. Judy also did a great birthday party for my 7-year-old and nine of her friends.

The Empire State Building. A Marble Maze. Playhouses for Cats. These are just some of the unique woodworking creations I've seen kids produce under the gentle guidance of the amazing Ms. Judy. There's so much to love in what she does and how she does it, but my favorite feature of her workshop is the fact that there are no pre-fab cookie-cutter patterns anywhere in sight. Instead, it's all about letting kids take the lead in conceiving and constructing carpentry projects. No wonder my daughter can't wait to go back again! And in a Bratz and Barbie world, what could be better than something that keeps girls more interested in hammering nails than in manicuring them???...Wooden It Be Nice!!
